"Her talent is an art and a skill to be highly recognized and commended. Thank you Jenna for sharing your amazing talent with all of us.”
- Anne H. Kahului, Maui
Born and raised on a New England dairy farm I am accustomed to the outdoor life and have always been very fond of nature. As a child I would stay out exploring the fields until the last of the day light disappeared. Travel captured my attention and along with my husband, I relocated to Nevada to explore all of the natural wonders of the Southwest. We spent our time visiting National Parks, rafting wild rivers and enjoying the freedom of cross country road trips. I found my adventurous side travelling the world, admiring the cherry blossoms in Japan, sailing The Adriatic Sea in Croatia, bungy jumping in Normandy and diving stunning oceans from the Yucatán to Alaska.
But it is my home, the beautiful island of Maui, that has inspired my photography. We sold all of our belongings in 2002 and moved to Hawaii to pursue life near the ocean. Maui offers a vast array of tropical rain forests, awe inspiring waterfalls and golden sand beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. I wanted to capture it all to share the beauty I was experiencing. As an adventurer and explorer by heart and always craving the natural landscape like I had back on the farm, I spend my time out hiking the islands searching for dramatic light, photographing the fascinating underwater world and capturing the ever changing sunsets. I am truly at peace with my camera in hand and feel that it keeps my adventures alive when I get to share this beautiful, natural world with you. -Jenna
